World of Warcraft Cosplay Girls

World of Warcraft Cosplay Girls

This week we were lucky enough to experience our first technical glitch, which of course would be nice enough to no manifest itself during the show, but instead wait until I was in post production to show up. Because of this huge problem, I was forced to cut the Star Wars: The Old Republic remainder of the 1.2 patch notes out of the broadcast, which if you were looking forward to them, I sincerely apologize. This week we got into quite the discussion regarding the free to play, pay to play, and buy to play model. There was great points discussed all around, and I believe we all came out of it with an open mind…and only a few scars. I am going to work on perhaps getting a three-way interview with devs in the gaming industry where we can spend an entire show discussing the differences of each type, their pros and cons, and what we have to look forward to in the future. Tune in next week to a hopefully bug free show!

(Released March 23rd 2012)

This week is a BIG show, running 1 hour and 16 minutes at its full length. Based on audience feedback, I am adding a new feature to the show notes this week, each segment will have a number beside it letting you know at which point in the show each segment starts. This will allow you to quickly find the segments that are of interest to you. If you are wondering what made this show so long, it is because there was some good info out this week, as well as the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic 1.2 patch. We recorded the show as normal, only going over by 6 minutes, then if you listen past the end of the show, you will be able to sit back and hear the first part of the highlights of the 1.2 patch. Next week we will cover the remainder. While you are listening and enjoying yourself, do us a favor and follow us on Twitter, Like us on Facebook, even leave us a comment so we know what you are enjoying, or not enjoying about the show. I hope next week the implement the Galvion Drinking game, and this week was devoid of a Golden Shovel award due to no one pissing off the audience.

We decided to dynamically change the introduction to the show this week, and give it a bit more pizzazz. We added a new sub-segment this week, where Galvion tells you about the new games coming out for the next week and we changed the way our format works a bit. We are still looking for feedback from those of you that listen in, either via comments, or the multitude of ways we have for you to contact us.Bioware was a big deal this week, this time with Mass Effect 3. I give you an honest review of the MadCatz Cyborg R.A.T. 7 Gaming Mouse, and we help you figure out how to join the perfect guild or clan.

A segment of a social network

Networking everything together

As I get everything setup and ready to go, I wanted to write a bit about it, and what comes along with it. Never having created a Blog or Podcast before, I did not really know what I was getting into, but I did know it would take some work to make it good. After garnering the DNS name, and creating a WordPress Blog to go with the Podcast, I attempted to put everything in order in my mind. It is my intention to create a Podcast that appeals to many levels of gamers, and I wanted that to be reflected in everything I created here. I went about setting up a facebook page just for the show. I created two separate Twitter accounts, one for me and one for the show because there may be times that I tweet something that is not show related. Getting everything to mesh together well has turned out to be the largest obstacle as these days we have so many social networking venues at our fingertips that the sheer act of attempting to hit them all can be mind-boggling.

I believe the goal of anyone that does this is probably to entertain, and it is important to me that as my audience, the end result you get is exciting, relevant, and lets you know that we are of the same mind concerning whatever topic it is that I am discussing. To that end, it is my hope that all of the backend production that I am doing or have already done helps to convey this to the audience. We are very quickly approaching our rehearsal, where I will get to see how well everything has come together, and I have been contemplating putting it up on the site for everyone to listen to and give feedback on. I think by doing this, it will encourage the hosts to put on their best performance, as well as allow what will become our audience to see what it was like at the beginning.

Well, off I go back to making sure everything is ship-shape before this bird really gets off the ground.
