Saint GabeN the 1st

This week’s show brought about some great ideas Like PayPal, Saint GabeN day, and being able to make choices. We apologize if news has been a bit light on the site this last week, as there are many things going on in the background, that we will be able to tell you about soon. Although things may be happening behind the scenes, we are still dedicated to bringing you the best darn Podcast on the net each and every week. All of us are gearing up for 3 days straight of gaming via Guild Wars 2, in which we were wishing they would release the game as is so our lives can end and we can get along with playing the game already! In the meantime, everyone is sitting back, playing some other great games., and looking for the beta to start. If you wish to join us for some Beta fun, we will be on the Maguuma server, US of course. See you there, and until then, we hope you enjoy the show.

Hey LGD crew,

Who’s your favorite video game villain?

Mine would be the Purple Tentacle from Day Of The Tentacle. I believe he might be one of the only few villain who succesfuly achieved global domination.
Who knew growing two arms and a menacing unibrow would lead to so much power and evil?

Shout Outs

Chaelura discussed a question/poll on her blog.

Galvion has posted some co-op play sessions on his Blog.

We closed by listing all of the ways you can get ahold of us, which can be found here with the wish that you join us next week.

  1. gameshoes says:

Guild Wars 2, Guild Wars 2, Guild Wars 2!

  2. […] Link Dead Gaming Podcast, Episode 9 – Saint Gaben Day is Coming! […]

  3. Thanks for the shoutout.

How is/was your GW2 experience? Mine was pretty awful on day 1, but it picked up massively on the 2nd and 3rd days when the game was a lot more stable. 😀

I just can’t believe the sheer amount of content in this game, how different it is to the original – and especially how everything is now an open world. It’s just amazing and I’m going to be sad when I lose the ability to continue playing.

Oh yeah, what classes did you guys play? I went with a female Guardian that looked much like the default and I actually really like the class – loving the weapon-based skill-learning system too!

You can also see many screenshots on my Steam (I’m in your group). 🙂

    • Chaelura says:

      Most welcome!!! 🙂

Welllll…. I had some pretty serious graphics glitches. I think I ended up submitting 8 tickets w/screenshots for all the horrors I encountered >_<

I did a Guardian too – I didn't get into a whole lot of combat yet so I haven't quite figured the ins and outs, but it certainly seems interesting. Mostly I was confused that I was grouped up, then we were ported to the next zone after the tutorial zone, and then I was still grouped but they weren't in the same instance/channel with me? We couldn't figure out how to get back together. Was confuzzled. LOL. Definitely looking forward to getting into it again tho!!!

      • Yeah, the game seemed pretty poorly explained – but I used experience to suss some things out. Such as using your basic attack on an enemy will proceed to do it automatically until it dies and/or you use another skill.

    • BloodEagle says:

Shark, I will actually be writing an entire blog piece here on the site a bit later today, so keep a watch out for it.

      • Ah cool. I’m planning to do a blogpiece myself, been busy with other things lately so my blog has been a bit of a barren wasteland – populated only by tumbleweeds…
