(Released April 6th 2012)

This week we have changed our format a bit and dropped the Tech Segment and Audience feedback for more news, so that we are able to stay around our one hour mark. We will still have Tech and Audience feedback on the weeks where there is something to speak about, something major is in the works, or a fan writes in and we air it on the show….like this week. The amount of recording we did for this weeks show went over 2 hours, and I was sad to have to cut out some really great content in order to fit within our timeline. We are hoping at some point in the future to have a premium service, where listeners can pay a small monthly amount to get some special perks, and one of those perks will be having access to the full shows, unedited, where they can hear the behind the scenes stuff, the bloopers, mistakes, and etc. that happen each week.

Audience Feedback [55:12]

Hello LGD crew!

In a previous podcast, Glavion and Chaelura briefly talked about how most of the console games ported to PC were atrocious and badly coded, although, they couldn’t remember any good ported games.

From the top of my head, I can say that both Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4 were greatly optimised gameplay and graphics-wise for the PC. Both have a great compatibility for mouse/keyboard controls (and Xbox controller, obviously), they have better graphics (better Anti-Aliasing, better use of DirectX 10 etc.), a higher screen resolution, and last but not the least, they run flawlessly in glorious 60 FPS. Did I say 60 FPS? Actually, Capcom proudly announced that DMC4’s cut scenes of the game run at up than 120 frames per second (up from 30 frames per second in the console version).

Also, I heard that Sonic Generations was a great port to PC as well, you might want to check it out.

So there you have it, at least 2 console port games are definitely worth a try, Capcom really did a great job.

Oh and I have a question for you guys: What’s your favourite game genre?

Loving the podcasts, keep up the good work.
